The tumor was the last vertibrae in my neck (C7), so it was the base of my spine. Hubby says the incision's about 4" long. And yes it hurts. Since they had to remove some of the bone & move the muscles out of the way. At least the part where the 4 screws were in my head no longer hurts. And where my arms were strapped down doesn't hurt as much.
I know, I know...patience!!!!
