When it rains, it pours...

OK, so it's bad enough that I have this lump/cyst under my arm that is now causing me constant pain and I need to go see a surgeon about it but my family's giving me grief because the soonest the DR can see me is next Wednesday and that would interfere with their plans for a road
trip to Tennessee--which I NEVER wanted to do anyway and still don't know why I have to go.

But yesterday I got a call from my OB/Gyn's office because I called our insurance company for pre-approval for a procedure. The nurse in her office told me that I never scheduled a follow-up pelvic ultrasound. And I said that I didn't know I needed one. The last one was in November. And she said that my chart reads that I needed a follow-up because of the cyst on my left ovary! WHAT CYST?!?!? So I said, "Nobody told me!" And she said that it's in the charts that I was supposed to schedule a follow-up and that she told me last year. So she's faxing the order to out-patient scheduling and I need to call in a few hours to schedule one ASAP and then call the OB's office back to schedule an appt for the results 3-4 days after the ultra-sound. They fit me in this afternoon, so I see my OB/Gyn on Tuesday.

You know, I know I'm losing my marbles but I'm pretty sure I'd remember if my DR told me I had a cyst on an ovary!!!
